After Death

All who live in this world will face death one day. One can’t say when, at what age, where and how death will happen. But it is certain that death will happen. Death can happen at any age! Death can happen at any Death can happen in any way. You will also face death one day. No one knows when. It may be today or tomorrow. One can’t say in definite when death will happen.

Death can happen in any way! It may be when you are at home, walking outside or while sleeping in the night. One can’t say definitely how it can happen. Hence, many people living in fear of death. They fear thinking will death come today? Or will death come through the sickness they go through? If one has to be delivered from this fear of death and pain, one should know, “What will happen after death?”

LIFE AFTER DEATH

“There is a life after death” and we all must know that. We will live in this world only for a short period. But life after death is eternal. Once a man dies, his body is either buried or cremated. But the soul that was within the body returns back to the God who had given it. There it is judged by God and is sent I also know of the death of another young lady. She had repented and let go of the sinful life during her youth and was living a holy life.

Suddenly she fell sick and was in the death bed. Death came near. She called her mother and said: “Mother, I will soon die, in a few moments. I can see the sky open. Two angles are descending from there and coming towards me. Jesus Christ is waiting for me there. I will die in a few minutes and will be with Jesus. No one should cry after I die. I’m happily going to our Lord. You must sing with joy and bury me”. After saying this she died within minutes. What a joyful death! What do these incidents show? There is a life after death – a new life begins after death. It is either in heaven or in hell. There is no other life in between these two. Man who lead a sinful life cannot enter heaven where Holy God dwells. The one who repents and departs from his sinful life, and leads a holy life will live with God in Heaven. “But the cowardly, unbelieving, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Rev. 21:8)

There are those who think, “God is love, gracious, He loves humanity; how could He create hell? There is nothing called hell.” God did not create hell for mankind. Hell was created for Satan and his angels. (Matt. 25:41). God who is loving will not lead people to hell. Only the sins of men will lead him into hell. You will also face death one day.

Either you will be part of heaven or hell. If you are living a sinful life, then this will lead you to hell. Often the fear of death will fill your heart and make you fearful. Where are you going to spend your eternity?Heaven? Or Hell? You cannot make any decision after death. You will have to determine either one while living in this world.

“JUDGMENT AFTER DEATH”

“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” (Heb. 9:27)

Only one life,

Only one death,

Judgment after death.

Everyone will be judged by God after death. There will be judgment for every unwanted words spoken. There will be judgment for each and every sinful act. While living on earth, man can hide his sins and portray as a good person. However, after his death all his actions will be revealed when judgment comes. We can’t hide any sin from God.

Whether you are cheating or giving false witnesses, no one can escape from the judgment of God. On that day, all sins of lying, cheating, drunkenness, adultery, false witness, wrongful earnings, bribery, coveting others, pride, irritation, desire for money will be revealed. On the Day of Judgment, those who are living a sinful life but portray a righteous life outwardly will surely tremble before the Lord. No one who has sinned can escape. God of righteous will judge each one.

He knows the life of each man. He knows the secret life of each one. He is watching every wrongful earning, sinful pleasure, bribery, unlawful and illegal profit and misuse of power. On the Day of Judgment, He will reveal all these. On that day, sinners’ heart will melt down. How would you be on that day?

“ONLY WAY TO ESCAPE JUDGEMENT”

Jesus Christ! Yes. One can escape judgment only through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ came into this world to cleanse the sins of mankind. He took upon Himself sins of all mankind by shedding His Holy blood. He shed His Holy blood by accepting the punishments that were to come upon mankind. Those who believe in Jesus Christ and accept Him will receive peace from the forgiveness of sins. Not only that, they will also receive eternal everlasting life. When one accepts Jesus in his heart, peace will fill the heart while living in this world. He also gives the eternal life after death.

The one who has accepted this Jesus Christ and lived Holy, throws a challenge to death as – “Death where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” Another young man who is not afraid of death during the time of his death said joyfully, “Lord Jesus, accept my spirit” and then died.

When one accepts Jesus and receives the redemption of sins, the fear of death leaves him. Death becomes a sweet journey for him. The joy exceeds knowing that life after death is being with God. The reasons are – while leaving in this world, there are struggles with sins, sickness, sorrow, problems and sorrows. Life after death in the heavenly kingdom do not have struggles with sins, no sickness, no tears, no deaths, no fear; always joyful and happiness – privilege of being with the Lord.

Jesus Christ wants to give you this life of privilege. It is your choice whether to accept or reject this privilege. Do not forget that when death comes, you will not bring along anything with you. Whether it is your money, properties, fame, titles, work, families or friends, nothing will come along. No matter how much you have earned, you cannot take anything from it with you. You have to face death alone. But if you accept Jesus in your life who has overcome death with victory, He will be with you. He will remove the fear of death. You will be with Jesus joyfully in heaven after death.
